Our Profile

Origin/Historical Background

Historically the clan came from the East and settled first under the famous Otuke Hill/Mountain thereafter disintegrated into three fronts under different leadership as indicated below;

FORMER CLAN CHIEF

Late Mzee George William Opio Oling was the pioneer cultural chief who led the clan through thick amd thin. He was able to unite the clan and led the process of registration of the clan with the Lango cultural foundation. Today Otengoro Olang Okwer Wang is one of the over 140 recognised clans in lango. He was deputised by Mr. Ogwang David Charles and a host of key clan executives. As the new leadership we salute them for the work they did to hold the clan together amidst difficulties.
